Who are open courses for?+
Open courses are designed for individual healthcare professionals, particularly agency staff working in the NHS, who need to book and pay for their own PMVA training rather than having it arranged by an employer.
What certification will I receive?+
You'll receive BILD ACT certification to the RRN Training Standards, which are required for NHS-commissioned learning disability, autism and mental health services. The Foundation Course certification is valid for 3 years.
Where are courses held?+
Dates and venues are published on the booking pages, where you choose your city first. Places left are shown for every date, and full joining details are emailed when you book.
Can I claim the cost back from my agency?+
Many agencies reimburse PMVA training costs. You'll receive an emailed VAT receipt when you pay, and a certificate when you complete the course, which you can submit to your agency.
How do I pay?+
Places are paid in full by card when you book, through our secure Stripe checkout. Prices are shown excluding VAT, and VAT is added at checkout. We do not hold places without payment.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?+
You can cancel for a full refund within 14 days of booking, as long as the course has not started. After that, places are non-refundable. See our booking, cancellation and refund policy for full details.
