Accessibility statement

Last updated: April 2026

Our commitment

Proactive Approaches Training Limited is committed to making its website, proactiveapproaches.co.uk, accessible to as many people as possible, including those with disabilities. We aim to meet our obligations under the UK Equality Act 2010 and to provide an inclusive experience for all visitors.

We target conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities.

What we do to support accessibility

We have taken a number of steps to make the Site accessible:

  • Semantic HTML – Pages are built with meaningful HTML elements (headings, landmarks, lists, and form labels) so that screen readers and assistive technologies can interpret the page structure correctly.
  • Keyboard navigation – All interactive elements (links, buttons, and form controls) are reachable and operable using a keyboard alone, with visible focus indicators.
  • Responsive design – The Site is fully responsive and adapts to a wide range of screen sizes and viewport widths, including mobile devices and tablets.
  • Colour contrast – Text and interactive elements are designed to meet WCAG 2.2 AA minimum colour contrast ratios, supporting users with low vision or colour vision deficiencies.
  • Alternative text for images – Meaningful images include descriptive alt text. Decorative images are marked so that assistive technologies can ignore them.
  • Clear language – We aim to write in plain, clear English appropriate for a general adult audience.

Known limitations

As a relatively new site we are continuing to improve accessibility across all areas. We are aware of the following limitations:

PDF documents

Some PDF documents available to download from the Site may not be fully accessible. For example, they may lack tagged structure or reading order. We are working to address this. If you need an accessible version of any document, please contact us and we will do our best to provide it in an alternative format.

Third-party embeds (Calendly)

We embed a scheduling widget provided by Calendly LLC on some pages. This widget is a third-party service and may have its own accessibility limitations that are outside our direct control. If you experience difficulty using the Calendly widget, please contact us directly and we will arrange an appointment another way.

Ongoing improvements

Some areas of the Site may not yet fully meet every criterion of WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We are committed to identifying and addressing gaps as part of our ongoing development work.

Report an accessibility issue

We welcome feedback on the accessibility of our Site. If you find a barrier that prevents you from accessing any part of this website, or if you need content in a different format, please let us know.

When you contact us, please include:

  • The web address (URL) of the page where you experienced the problem
  • A description of the difficulty you encountered
  • The assistive technology or browser you were using, if relevant
